On December 22nd, we had the privilege of hosting Dr. Rina Panigrahy, Research Scientist at Google, for an unforgettable session in celebration of National Mathematics Day 2024. As the first Indian to win a Gold Medal at the International Maths Olympiad, Dr. Panigrahy shared his incredible journey and offered invaluable insights into the world of mathematics, its varied applications and exciting unsolved problems!

Nearly 200 students attended the session, engaging in thought-provoking discussions and gaining a deeper understanding of how mathematics shapes the world. Dr. Panigrahy’s approach to breaking down complex mathematical concepts made the subject more accessible and enjoyable, challenging the misconception that math is difficult or uninteresting. His passion for the subject was contagious, motivating students to explore and embrace the fascinating world of mathematics with renewed enthusiasm.
